Program Description: Most individuals will endure a disaster, either natural or manmade, without developing subsequent long-term psychiatric disorders. However, nearly all people will respond to the disruption of a disaster with some stress response, which may manifest in behavioral, emotional, cognitive, and physical symptoms.

Audience: This training is aimed at equipping healthcare workers, first responders, MRC and CERT volunteers, disaster responders, clergy, and others who would be expected to assist people experiencing distress following a disaster.
