Amateur Radio License Class **CANCELLED**

  • Tuesday, April 19, 2016
  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • Fire Station #22

UPDATE: This class is CANCELLED.

There are plans to hold another class in the fall.

This is an opportunity for all survival minded individuals to provide for emergency communication for themselves and their family. An amateur radio license offers you the opportunity to work with the city of Kirkland as an ARES /KECT team member. Successful completion of this program gives you one year free membership in the Lake Washington Ham Club. Ham Radio is a great community with lots of community activities.

There is no charge for the class and we have some study guides we can loan out as well as online resources. You can order study books online for around $22.  One recommended study book is Ham Radio Study Guide by Truvium Test Prep: http://www.triviumtestprep.com/ham-radio-study-guide.

Classes are on Tuesday and Thursdays.  The FCC exam is on Saturday, April 30th.  There is a $15 exam fee, due on the 30th prior to taking the test.

Class size is limited so register early.

If you have any questions, contact Ron Poole at snwbird1111@gmail.com.
